Walnut Creek Farmstead

This has been a tough year, and our garden definitely shows it. Some beds never got planted, others are under tarps, and the whole space looks far from the dream I had back in the spring.
But you know what? That’s real life. Some seasons give you baskets overflowing with produce, and some seasons teach you to let go and try again later.
I’m learning to be okay with an imperfect garden—grateful for what is growing, and hopeful for the fresh start that always comes with a new season. 🌿
Here’s to messy gardens, unfinished projects, and the reminder that growth doesn’t always look like we expect. 💛

Chores teach more than responsibility.
They teach follow-through.
They teach humility.
They teach that even smelly, simple tasks can carry purpose.
They teach time management, hard work, determination, and integrity.
Out here on the homestead, chores aren’t just something to check off — they’re forming character, shaping habits, and building strength from the inside out.
Our kids don’t always love chores (let’s be honest, who really loves hauling feed in 100° heat?), but they know they matter.
They’re becoming people who don’t shy away from hard things. Who notice what needs to be done and step in to do it.
And that’s the kind of grown-up we hope they grow into.

Pasture-Raised Pork — Real Food from Real Land
Our pigs are raised on pasture where they can root, roam, and soak up the sun. Fed a non-GMO, soy-free, freshly milled diet and never given antibiotics or hormones, they live healthy, natural lives — and it shows in the flavor.
Rich, tender, and deeply nourishing, our pork is how it was meant to be: clean, ethical, and delicious.
Better for the animal, better for the land, better for your table.
