The Tumble Hub
Back pullover day at The Tumble Hub πͺπ€ΈββοΈ
These gymnasts are building the strength, timing, and confidence needed for a strong chin-up back pullover through 4 different skill stations:
βοΈ Chin-on-bar kickover drills using the wall/mat for momentum
βοΈ Lying leg raises to strengthen core control
βοΈ Assisted pull-ups to build upper body strength
βοΈ Assisted pullovers focusing on the kick and finish
Breaking gymnastics skills into stations helps athletes safely develop technique, body awareness, and muscle memory one step at a time. Every drill has a purpose β and every rep gets them closer to doing it on their own! β¨
YouthGymnastics
This little gymnast is working on balance beam fundamentals by walking on her toes and learning where to focus her eyes. At first, she looked off to the side and lost her balance β because your body tends to follow your eyes π
Her coach reminded her to keep her eyes focused on the end of the beam, stay tall, keep her core tight, and walk with pointed toes. Once she fixed her focus, she made it all the way across the beam πͺπ€ΈββοΈ
Balance beam drills like this help build:
β’ Beam confidence
β’ Body awareness
β’ Toe point and posture
β’ Core control
β’ Beginner gymnastics balance skills
