Day 9 of 14 | Giving Back to Community

One of the most meaningful moments of the Heart & Heritage Journey wasn't a monument, museum, or historic site. It was giving.

The Heart & Heritage Crew came together and donated funds to purchase essential items for the children of the OSU Children's Home in Accra, Ghana. What started as individual contributions became a powerful collective act of love, compassion, and responsibility.

As African descendants returning to the continent, we believe reconnection is about more than learning history. It is about building relationships, creating impact, and leaving communities better than we found them.

The smiles, conversations, and gratitude exchanged reminded us that heritage is not only about where we come from—it is also about what we give back.

Thank you to every member of the Heart & Heritage Crew for demonstrating that service has no borders.

Day 9 was about compassion in action.

Day 5 at Aqua Safari… and everybody found their moment.

Some took on the jet skis.
Some stayed back and soaked in the peace.
Some laughed like they hadn’t in years.

That’s the part people don’t talk about enough—
this experience meets you wherever you are.

And somehow… it still gives you more.
