Poe in Wonderland

It’s a marvelous place to visit. Been twice on Poe’s birthday weekend celebration. Go if you can and support them through membership.

The Happiest of Birthdays to The Poe Museum, which opened onthis day in 1922! (A highlight of the Poe Museum's first public event was hosting a talk by Edward Virginius Valentine, a man who had met Poe seventy-three years earlier — an event your admin truly wishes I could have witnessed in person.) For over a hundred years the Poe Museum has been preserving and honouring Mr. Poe's life, works, and legacy — the noblest of causes! A toast to you, Poe Museum!

Happy Birthday to me! Lunch at a favorite place with Mom and Da and a cake made by Mom. Dinner with the boys a a Doc Martin cake from my favorite Rhodes Bakery. More lunches with friends soon.
