Prioritize your peace. Practice being calm when you feel like you're being challenged or tested. Overreacting only creates regret. Take a few hours or days for things to clear out. Be emotionally intelligent so you can be in the right state of mind to make better choices.

It's one thing to be surrounded.
It's another thing to be supported.
Surrounded gives you company.
Supported gives you clarity.
Surrounded keeps you busy.
Supported helps you build.
Not everyone in your space is for your growth.
Some people are just noise in the background of your calling.
I don't need more people.
I need more alignment.
I need people who aren't just present— but positioned.
Positioned to pray.
Positioned to speak truth.
Positioned to call me higher.
Because anyone can take up space.
But only the right ones help you walk in purpose.

You take the orange and you squeeze it. As hard as you can it. And you ask yourself, what will come out? And what comes out when you squeeze an orange? Orange juice. Never, no matter how many times you squeeze it, will apple juice come out. There's no mistakes. And the next question is, why? Why when you squeeze an orange, as hard as you can squeeze it, does orange juice come out? The reason that orange juice comes out when you squeeze it is because that's what's inside. Now you extend the metaphor, and someone squeezes you. That is, someone says something about you that you don't like. Someone behaves towards you in a way that you find offensive. Somebody does something or says something to you that you feel hurt by. And out of you comes anger. Hatred. Bitterness. Tension. Fear. Anxiety. Stress. And immediately you say, the reason that comes out of me is because of how he said it, or the way that she said that, or because they did that. But the truth is, the reality is, that what comes out is what's inside.
If negativity comes out when we’re under pressure, it’s because that’s what’s inside us. And if we want different things—like patience, kindness, or resilience—to come out, then we need to cultivate those qualities internally.
It’s a tough but freeing realization: we can’t always control what happens to us, but we can control what’s within us. What do you think—does this idea resonate with you?

Thinking too much about yourself is a source of unhappiness.
That can be true, depending on how you think about yourself. If your thoughts are filled with self-criticism, regret, or comparison to others, then too much self-focus can lead to unhappiness. On the other hand, self-reflection with self-compassion can help with growth and understanding.
Sometimes, shifting attention outward—toward others, meaningful activities, or the present moment—can bring more contentment.

Trauma makes you tolerate people who treat you poorly because you're afraid of losing them. Healing makes you realize that you should be afraid of losing yourself by trying to please everyone.
