Today marks the 40-year anniversary of our tireless President + CEO, Kouhaila (Ki) Hammer, with Ghafari.

Ki joined the Ghafari team in 1986, though her history with the firm dates back to the very beginning. Before Ghafari was even established, she helped our Chairman + Founder, Yousif B. Ghafari, with his original business plan. Four years after Ghafari’s founding, she officially came on board as CFO, and later assumed the role of President + CEO in 2000, a position she has held ever since.

We'd like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Ki on her milestone anniversary and convey our sincere thanks for her amazing leadership over the past four decades.

This year’s Construction Safety Week theme — Recognize, Respond, Respect — is a call to action for every person on every jobsite. As we work directly alongside the teams responsible for bringing our projects to life, we recognize that protecting the people doing that work isn’t just a box to check, but a reflection of our values and a daily commitment to building trust and safer jobsites. A strong safety culture begins with respecting the role each person plays in looking out for one another while on site.
