Where do I store my signed documents? Do I need to send them to people? You should store your original estate planning documents in a safe place. You can do so in a safe, a safety deposit box, scan and email them to family members, make copies, or just let your loved ones know where they're located. Having duplicates is very important.​​​​​​​​

I have a living trust, do I still need a will? Yes, you need a Will even if you already have a living trust. Your Pour-Over Will affects any assets that are titled in your name at your death that are not in your living trust (or under joint ownership/beneficiary designation). If you have a living trust, your Will would likely contain a pour-over provision, which simply states that all such assets be transferred to the trustee of your living trust after your death.​​​​​​​​
