We are pleased to offer this outstanding ram for sale at the National Ram Sale. Banner Butte 732 (NSIP #6901352023230732 9.2PWWT, 1.7 PEMD) is an excellent proven ram with 60 offspring and is the third generation of top Suffolk rams of all time. His grandsire, the General (BH 3405), has 181 offspring in the NSIP system. Talking with several breeders who have used the General, we all agreed that his daughters are perfect ewes. They have perfect udders and milk well. Also his Carcass + index is in the top 3% of the breed. The Admiral ( BB 701) is the sire of BB 732 and the son of The General and has a Carcass + of 185. When I picked out the BB 732 as my next stud ram, I saw that the twin ewe lamb to BB732 also had an excellent loineye. BB 732 and BB 731 had scans of 4.60 in2 and 4.53 in2 both adjusted to 135 lbs. That is a very impressive set of twins. Also BB 732 had a rate of gain of 1.77 lbs per day. So, not only are the Grandsire and sire renowned in the breed , BB 732 has proven that he is following in their footsteps. BB 732 is from the Suffolk GAP program at 89.5%. Meaning if he is bred to 100% Suffolk ewes, all of their offspring would be 100% registered Suffolk. BB 732 has an excellent temperament and is very easy to handle. He is RR for scrapie resistance. We have used him in our flock for two seasons and he is ready to move on to help improve someone else’s flock.

Congratulations to Peth Suffolks. Their new ewe Mint Gold 22717 had a ewe lamb that just broke a record. At 110 lbs the lamb had a loin eye area of 3.6 sq in and a loin eye depth of 1.56 inches. If you factor the depth in inches/lamb weight in lbs that is .0142. A new record at Mint Gold Ranch. We look forward to MGR 22717 and what she will do in the Peth flock. Her lamb will stay at Mint Gold Ranch and break new records. The ewe's sire MGR 20609 has been consigned to the Center of the Nation Sale in Spencer, Iowa on July 29th.
