On another visit to Madison Gallery in Southern California, much of what captivated us was the work of Donald Martiny, a contemporary artist whose expressive, physical approach to paint changes the way we think about surface, movement, and form.

Martiny’s pieces are alive with gesture, each work the result of a unique motion with wide brushes sponges and his body. His installation at One World Trade Center shows how art can elevate and transform an architectural environment, integrating scale, materiality, and emotion. In this collection of photos, you’ll even see a piece by renowned Cuban artist Ángel Ricardo Ricardo Ríos. His words are vibrant, playful, and exciting.
