We remember all of those who lost their lives.

We remember the families that were left to put the pieces of their lives back together.

We remember all of the first responders that chose to run toward the chaos while everyone else ran away. 👨🏻‍🚒🚓

We remember those that are dealing with the long term health effects of the first responders, those who searched for people and those that stayed to help clean up.

We remember and we honor. 🇺🇸

I have heard it described as a dance, the interaction between joy and grief, pain or confusion. It doesn’t have to be one or the other. Most importantly, joy does not dishonor the grieving process. I believe it honors it. It shows that God is in the middle of our mess.
