Kettering is proud to partner with Sing Democracy 250, and tickets are still available for this weekend’s concert on June 13 in Washington, DC, at the DAR Constitution Hall. Attendees will enjoy two newly commissioned choral works, Brandon A. Boyd’s Redeem the Dream, based on Langston Hughes’s eloquent poetry, and Michael Bussewitz-Quarm’s US, inspired by Richard Haas’s book, The Bill of Obligations: The Ten Habits of Good Citizens. Both are excellent examples of the power of the arts to spark our democratic imagination.
