We believe preschool graduation is important because it celebrates a child's first educational milestone and fosters a sense of accomplishment and readiness for kindergarten.
2025 Congratulations, Graduates!
🌾 Celebrating the Harvest: A Tradition Rooted in Positivity and Hard Work 🌾
Many of you have asked about our Harvest Party, and we’re excited to share what makes it such a meaningful celebration for our community and children. Instead of celebrating Halloween, which can often invoke fear, encourage begging, and promote unsafe practices, our Harvest Party offers a positive way to welcome the season. We focus on gratitude, hard work, and appreciation for the natural world around us.
Our Harvest Party teaches children about the vital role of farming and the changes each season brings. Traditionally, as winter approached, local farms would gather to exchange produce, share in the fruits of their labor, and build community. Through this celebration, we honor this heritage:
Scarecrows - represent protection for crops,
Pumpkins - remind us of delicious seasonal foods and traditions, and provide light and secure the candles
Hay bales - support our animals and keep them warm,
Candied treats - recognize the children’s hard work and are enjoyed as a special reward.
This is an opportunity to instill positive values in our children. By choosing not to celebrate Halloween, we focus on God’s teachings, specifically avoiding themes that bring fear or encourage unhealthy behaviors. Our Harvest Party is a time to learn, grow, and celebrate the blessings around us.
Let’s embrace the beauty of this season together and teach our children values rooted in community, gratitude, and faith.
Special thanks to our new donors: Harris Marqus Charlette Young Alice Harrel, Wallace Shepard, and Juliana Alaniz

Calling all residents of the city of Dayton, come out to meet our Mayor, bring your questions and concerns, and learn what's happening around the city and in your neighborhood.
On Monday, May 13, 2024, we’re taking action to demand a continued financial investment in a new child care system that truly works for all. CARE CAN’T WAIT! We need to build a caring economy where childcare educators are valued and compensated for their essential work. We must build a child care infrastructure that helps families with their child care costs.
Our country can’t run, even one “Day Without Child Care.” The reality is that our child care infrastructure is collapsing. If we don’t act now, we’ll see more programs close, families won’t get the care they need, and the economy, along with all of us will suffer. The government needs to invest in an equitable system that supports child care in schools, centers, and residential-based child care. When our child care system thrives sustainably, our families, our businesses, our workers, and our economy thrive.
