Socks? chaos.
Your body? we can do something about that.

This season of life can feel chaotic in a lot of ways.
And I’ve have to learn (over and over) how to accept that good enough is good enough.

I can’t do everything to the level I would want to. My time and my energy is precious.
So I make choices.

- Being present with my kids.
- Post-dinner walks.
- Dance parties in the kitchen.
- Showing up again and again through all the emotions.
+ 1 million other things more important than empty laundry baskets at the end of the day or socks that always have their mate.

There are a lot of things we just have to accept in this season.
The mess. The noise. The constant feeling of being needed.

But pelvic floor symptoms are not one of them.

You have enough to manage!
You shouldn’t have to spend your time, energy, and mental space dealing with:

• urinary urgency or frequency
• leakage
• pelvic pain or pressure
• a weak core
• lingering pain in your back, hips, or abdomen
• a sensitive C-section scar
• wondering why your body doesn’t respond the way it used to during intimacy
• sitting out if playing with your kids because your body says no

One thing that will always make me more frustrated than the sock situation…
is the idea that women are expected to just live with these symptoms.

I can’t fix your sock problem.
But you might be surprised how much pelvic floor physical therapy can help address the chaos of symptoms.

Let’s put your energy back where it matters most.

Feeling so inspired by several patients lately who are working through thick stuff.

Things like:
-Processing/ revisiting tough past experiences after realizing (sometimes surprisingly) that the body is still holding onto something. Emotions can get stuck in the body.
-Navigating hard current seasons (healing in the thick of it is hard y’all).
-Simply pausing long enough to notice how they’re carrying themselves through life. A life where we know grief, feel pain, face trauma, and often this cost of living shows up in our bodies.

Many of my patients also see mental health therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, s*x therapists, massage therapists and other professionals that play such an important role in healing. If you’re someone wrestling with something heavy I want you to know that you deserve whatever support makes it possible to reach a point of peace both in your body and in your mind.

There’s almost always something we can do to better support the body physically. And if anatomy and biomechanics aren’t your thing then come hang with me and I’d love to help dial in.

I also love getting to create space for people as they begin to unpack how the physical symptoms they experience sometimes have ties to deeper layers we can’t objectively measure.
That attention and consideration can matter more than any perfect squat form, stellar exercise program or cute matching workout set.

This isn’t always true, and I’m all for people wanting to share their life experience in effort to help others. But just in case you need the reminder- someone’s personal experience is valid, but it isn’t the same as medical education.

There’s goodness in remaining connected and following along with others online. And I bet most influencers mean well, just be careful who and what you are trusting. Especially if it shapes what you do with your body!

Saw a great post on this by .kelsey.dpt 👏🏼 & I wanted to pass along the message!

When you ask your friend if you can record part of the session for “content” and she doesn’t know what she just agreed to…

Happy April Fool’s day!

Just keeping things light and fun over here 🤣🤭

Heard this audio and I couldn’t love it any more.

Also, some things never change. I still rock some questionable half-up hairstyles most days of the week.
