Fun find yesterday during a tree inspection. The Acorn Plum Gall is caused by a Cynipid insect wasp Amphibolips quercusjuglans. This gall's common name reflects its color and where it grows on an oak. Most galls on Oaks are harmless. Galls are one of the more intriguing sides of nature to view and behold. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors and textures – truly one of nature’s more “artistic” flourishes!

Good afternoon,
With a heavy heart, I wanted to share with the Garden Talk faithful that Randy Tischer's last: appearance on Garden Talk will be tomorrow morning at 7:30 am (EST). Randy has retired and turned the page in his life's next chapter.

I know a lot of people over the years have been touched and changed by him and his words, wisdom, and advice on WHIO.

Randy has been a great colleague and friend, and it's been an absolute honor to have shared the airwaves all these wonderful years, and it will not be the same show without him.
