PRESS RELEASE: State Rep. David Martin Announces Re-election Campaign

DAVISON, MI – State Representative David Martin has announced that he is running for re-election in the 68th House District.

“Service before self has always been the defining principle of my life,” Martin said. “When I was elected as state representative in 2020, I made a promise to my community to give them a voice that represented their values, and my voting record shows that I have done exactly that. As a lifelong Davison resident, U.S. Air Force veteran, former Davison City Council member, former Genesee County Commissioner, and current state representative, I take seriously the trust that my community has placed in me to be their voice at the Michigan Capitol.”

Martin said that his campaign will continue to focus on protecting individual rights and liberties from government overreach, making sure our students are receiving a quality education with real-life skills, providing further tax relief, and fostering an environment where business can thrive.

“As state representative, I have a proven track record of advocating for kitchen-table issues in our community,” said Martin. “Over the last five years, I and my office have helped thousands of residents cut through government red tape, held and attended hundreds of local meetings to hear residents’ feedback on current issues, and been a voice for positive change in our community. I look forward to continuing to advocate for the residents of the 68th District, so together we can make Michigan a great place to live, work, and retire.”

The 68th District includes Atlas Township, the majority of Burton, Davison, Davison Township, part of Genesee Township, Goodrich, Grand Blanc, part of Grand Blanc Township, and Groveland Township.
