πͺ Building Confidence Through Movement!
In our EFNEP workshops, we encourage simple physical activities like walking, stretching, and weight-bearing exercises. These activities help participants build strength, improve balance and flexibility, and increase confidence in staying active.
Regular movement also supports overall health and can help your body adapt better to exercising in warm weather when you gradually increase your activity. Remember to stay hydrated, dress for the weather, and take breaks to help prevent heat-related illness.
Every step counts toward a healthier, more confident you! πΆββοΈ

π Fresno County EFNEP partnered with Evangel Home, a temporary housing program for women and women with children, to deliver the Eating Smart, Being Active curriculum.
Participants are learning healthy cooking, trying new foods, and increasing physical activity. One participant shared that doing exercises from the Get Moving lesson helps her stay energized and focused, while another now exercises with her children.
After tasting turnip pancakes in class, several participants made the recipe at home for their families. Small changes today are helping build healthier futures. π
π Itβs graduation season! Join us in celebrating our EFNEP graduates and their commitment to making health a priority. Through dedication, learning, and positive lifestyle changes, theyβve taken important steps toward a healthier future. Congratulations to all of our graduates! ππ

During our California EFNEP conference, each county had the opportunity to share highlights from their communities and showcase the impact of nutrition education and health programs for families. It was inspiring to hear stories of growth, resilience, and positive change happening across the state. Together, we continue working to empower families with the knowledge and skills to build healthier futures for their communities.π₯¦ππ«
