Beauty secrets of famous women in history
They set the standards of feminine beauty that still apply today. They have seduced many men, and left a mark on history. They say a real woman never reveals everything. But with the help of Macedonia’s Wannabe Magazine, I can share some beauty tricks of some of the most famous women in history.

CLEOPATRA (69 BC to 30 BC)
Since Cleopatra’s time, we’ve known the benefits of honey and milk on skin. Historical records state that she ended up bathing in milk with rose petals every day for several hours, thus making her skin perfectly velvety. Also, she reportedly used a scrub that you can make yourself at home:
Cleopatra’s body scrub
3 cups sea salt
3/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup sweet almond oil
Fragrant oyster (optional)
Mix salt, olive and almond oil in a glass jar, and add fragrant oils as desired. Close the container well and let stand for a while. In a circular motion, massage a scoop of a scrub or two onto the skin, leave it on for at least 5 minutes, then rinse.

QUEEN ELIZABETH I (1533 to 1603)
Queen Elizabeth is a symbol of a strength and longevity. Her trick for perfect face skin was a bleach mask. It healed acne and inflammation, reduced redness and mattified her skin. If you also have problematic facial skin, try this trick and you can use the yolks that you have left over as a hair mask.

Separate an egg yolk from the white. Whisk the egg white until foamy. You may also add a teaspoon of honey and a few drops of orange essential oil. Apply the mask to a clean face and let stand for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water and apply a moisturizer.

HELEN OF TROY
The daughter of Zeus’ extraordinary beauty indirectly led to the Trojan War. In ancient Greece light hair and complexion was treasured. Women used olive oil, honey and apple cider vinegar to enhance these effects. Vinegar is a useful antibacterial agent, refreshing and rejuvenating the skin. Legend said she and others used a facial toner like the following:
Face tonic
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup of lukewarm water
Mix the ingredients well, then soak and wring out a small, clean hand towel. Apply it to your face. Leave the towel on your face for 5 minutes. You can do this treatment twice a week.

MARIE ANTOINETTE
Marie Antoinette is known as a wasteful woman, spending a lot on castles and beauty. From her, we can learn how to relax after a hard day. Some of the ingredients of her favorite bath are not easy to find, Check health food stores.
Marie Antoinette’s bath
2 tablespoons of dried wild incense leaves
2 tablespoons of dried marjoram leaves (or oregano if not available)
2 cups of beaten laurel
1 cup of sea salt
Boil a cup or more or water, then add ingredients. Simmer on a low boil for 10 minutes. Cool completely, then pour it into a hot bath. Turn on some light music and enjoy.
