Pence Gallery

The Pence Gallery is closed today for the 4th of July, and we wish everyone safe & festive celebrations! We will resume our regular hours tomorrow, 11:30 AM - 5 PM.

Visit the Pence to browse a new display of art along the stairway. In his recent series of oil paintings, plein air painter David Burkholder explores the beauty and variety within Northern California and its close neighbors. Each painting was created during a different day or weekend trips out of his camper van. His paintings capture California's warm light and diverse landscapes, bringing viewers back to a sense of presence and connection to nature.

Our non-juried community art show, Exhibit It!, opens upstairs at the Pence this Friday. Exhibit It! has always been an exciting part of our annual exhibit calendar, as it showcases a wide variety of sculpture, paintings, drawings, and photography by artists in our community. As an ‘open theme’ exhibit, artworks can vary in subject, style, size, or mood. We hope that you come by to celebrate the creativity of the region’s artists.

Come see the display from July 3 - August 16, and make sure to vote for your favorite artwork for the chance to win the Public Choice Award! Director Natalie Nelson will select her favorite piece for the Curator’s Choice Award at 7:30 PM during our reception.
