Real regulation means giving your nervous system an actual signal that it is safe. Just a moment of genuine stillness that tells your body the threat is over.
Here's how to regulate your nervous system:
➡️ Breathe slowly until your exhale is longer than your inhale. That is your vagus nerve resetting.
➡️ Put your feet on the ground. Feel the floor. Your body needs to know it is here not in your head.
➡️ Place your hand on your heart and say out loud: "I am safe right now"
