Italian heritage, French lace, natural fibers of cotton and silk. What more could we ask for?

I will never forget this evening. It was the night that I stood by my oldest who had just turned 11 and stared up at the newly installed chandelier in Darien. We stood there side-by-side and I gave a little elbow nudge and asked, “So, what do you think?” He very innocently responded in a voice filled with awe: “It feels like a soft, beautiful woman lives here.” I was stunned. And my heart was filled.

This journey of LaSource and the celebration of women as the source of life, love, beauty and bounty came from a mother - who felt like the world didn’t see her anymore and who was equally frustrated/sad that her sons were being fed a whole host of garbage about girls on social media. If our boys are to be loving and respectful men, we have to show them what that looks like - through fathering, through mothering, through media and I do believe through showing them beautiful experiences for the women they love.

Being a mother is my all-time favorite. Helping mothers and women is my second.

Leave it to to figure out how to get female ni***es past the Meta algorithm. Yes, you read that right. Women’s ni***es have been banned on IG and FB for a long time (for being what? Inappropriate?) We repeatedly get flagged for the content in our Instagram shop if a bra is even remotely see through. Yet, here we are - faux breasts on full display. maybe we should show our girls a little more support? Please and thank you. 🩷
