David's DogBus
03/21/2025
Good morning! I've been holding off on making an announcement, but it's become unavoidable. The bus is down. It needs a new transmission, and I'm out of money to spend on major repairs. I'm going to be looking for a job with benefits and likely grooming out of the bus at home in my off time.
If you are interested in setting up a time to bring your dog to me and it's worth the trip, please message me. I have open availability for the next few weeks while I sort this out. I can also travel for nail trims within a reasonable distance. I've had some people express interest in training in the past, so I may dust off those skills.
To all my clients that are now out of range, thank you for trusting me with your dogs. It was an honor and a privilege to work with them.

**ADDING NEW CLIENTS**
For the last month or so, I've had to limit my service area. As many of you already know, I've had engine issues related to after-market intake manifolds that couldn't hold up to the amount of work I was doing.
I've been on a list at Ford since my engine was replaced in 2022, with no response. My mechanic recently found a genuine part on Ebay in basically brand-new condition. During this time, I was able to wire my water pump and lights to my battery system, so the bus no longer has to idle during grooming.
All this to say that I will now have more availability for new clients, and more reliability from my bus. Thank you to all of you who were patient with me throughout this process.

Helping a good boy find a loving home today.
This is Sampson, a male Great Pyrenees. He was found roaming in East McKinney about two years ago. He is chipped and medically up to date, and has been living harmoniously with the family that found him (including children and 2 other dogs.)
Unfortunately, his family is downsizing and doesn't believe Sampson will do well in a more confined environment. I applaud them for recognizing his needs, difficult as it may be. Sampson needs property to roam, and possibly livestock to protect. I have had the pleasure of grooming him for the past year, and he is extremely even-tempered and patient. He is not neutered, but I would think that is preferable in a farm dog.
If you or anyone you know may be in need of a livestock guardian/family dog and has the space, please message me here on Facebook and I'll put you in touch with his owners. I get these requests often, but I'm here advocating for Sampson because I know him to be a kind and gentle soul that deserves a great home.

Monk is here to say that the bus is back to full capacity for the holiday season! Fall is also the time for blown coats and hair everywhere, so don't forget deshedding! I use Vermont Dog shampoo and Double K "The Solution" conditioner for a shiny coat and a pleasant, natural smell.
