Thank you to everyone who joined us at TLA 2026 for RADO’s Press’ first library conference! We had a wonderful time introducing our inaugural title, JOJO THE TORNADO DOG by NYT bestselling author Michael Sampson, with the help of Best Friends Animal Society. Librarians, teachers, and educators from across the state joined us for a very special book signing and adoption event, taking home personalized copies of the book and four very special puppies.

JOJO THE TORNADO DOG officially hits shelves tomorrow, April 7, with all proceeds going to Operation Kindness. Order your copy today at the link in our bio and help support animals in need!

Rado’s Press is excited to share Parents magazine’s exclusive cover reveal for JOJO THE TORNADO DOG: A Tale of Rescue, Courage, and Adventure, written by New York Times bestselling author Michael Sampson and illustrated by Lauren Phelps. Based on a true story, this tale follows JoJo the Australian cattle dog. After a nasty tornado sweeps through his neighborhood and flings his house straight into the Georgia skies, JoJo must journey across the United States, escaping more death-defying encounters, accomplishing heroic deeds, and embarking on joyful adventures. Follow JoJo the Tornado Dog as he discovers what it means not only to be cared for, but to care so much for all the world around him.

We are honored to share that all proceeds of JOJO THE TORNADO DOG will be donated to Operation Kindness, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization that not only provides lifesaving medical care and loving homes for homeless animals but transports them to safe shelters and rescues across the United States.

An inspirational story that captures the courage and determination of a very good dog, this middle grade tale illustrates the incredible resilience of animals and the love and joy they bring to our lives every single day.

Mark your calendars — JOJO THE TORNADO DOG hits shelves April 7, 2026!

Brown Books Publishing is proud to introduce RADO’s Press, a new nonprofit children’s imprint founded by BBPG CEO, Milli Brown, and inspired by her lifelong commitment to animal welfare.

RADO's stands for Rescue Animals Deserve Our Support, and that belief is at the heart of everything we do. Through thoughtfully crafted children’s books, RADO’s Press will inspire young readers while directly supporting rescue animals in need.

Every dollar from our books will go toward benefitting Operation Kindness, a leading no-kill animal shelter in Carrollton, Texas, dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats through adoption, medical care, and compassionate sheltering.

For Milli, this imprint represents the realization of a long-held dream: to merge her passion for publishing with her dedication to protecting animals. We are honored to bring this vision to life.

Our debut title launches in Spring 2026. We look forward to sharing more details soon.

📍To support Operation Kindness or meet an adoptable pet, visit their shelter in Carrollton and become part of a life-changing story.
