At Bluffview Counseling, we support adolescents and adults navigating betrayal trauma, relationship challenges, problematic sexual behavior, grief, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Our work is trauma-informed, with an emphasis on emotional awareness, relational patterns, and practical tools that support greater stability and clarity.

Grounded in the understanding that many of our wounds—and our capacity for change—exist within relationships. Sarah, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, integrates cognitive, emotion-focused, and experiential approaches, including training in Internal Family Systems and EMDR. She provides a steady, respectful space where clients can better understand their experiences and begin to shift long-standing patterns.

Negative core beliefs—like “I’m not enough” or “I’m unlovable”—often sit beneath codependency, addiction, anxiety, and painful relationships. Left unchallenged, they quietly shape our lives.

Missy’s work is rooted in both professional training and lived experience. Her own recovery journey informs a compassionate, holistic approach that helps clients explore family-of-origin patterns, attachment wounds, and trauma—while developing tools to change thought patterns and behaviors.

Therapy with Missy is collaborative, respectful, and focused on helping people reclaim self-awareness, purpose, and the right to live a fuller life.

Happy Thanksgiving 🍁
Holidays can bring connection, complexity, and everything in between.
Wherever you are today, we hope you’re meeting it with warmth and care.
Grateful for the work we get to walk alongside.

Awareness rarely arrives all at once.
It usually shows up in quiet realizations — noticing a pattern we’ve repeated for years, recognizing a belief we’ve carried without questioning, or finally understanding why we react the way we do.

Growth begins the moment something unconscious becomes conscious.
That shift creates space for new choices, new behaviors, and a more intentional way of moving through the world 🧠🧪
