I've finished the first four sets of Interior Trim, all for E39 LHD cars - and I'm offering them at a sale price - I've dropped the $100 core charge for these four only.

You can choose from Australian Lacewood, Birdseye Zebrawood, Grey Oak, or Birch Burl.

Hi everyone! I'm going to add another branch to the Prospero's Garage Tree - custom re-veneering wood auto trim. I'm starting with BMW E39, but I can/will branch out from here.

The basics:
1. I use real wood veneer which is about 0.5mm thick. I can use most veneers - but remember, it's thin, fragile, hard to handle and can be expensive.
Since everyone is going to ask, I believe the sets are going to be between $500 and $750 depending on the veneer used (not including the core charge).
2. All of the sanding has to be done by hand - if you burn through the clear - even by hand - you can burn through the actual veneer in seconds.
3. For the reason in #2 above, I'm not going to be doing any staining. If I can get _dyed_ veneer, I can do color.
4. I cannot re-clear your current trim - there's no way to sand through the clear without harming the old veneer. Even doing it by hand - which would take hours and hours and days - you still risk going through the veneer.
5. The clear I'm using is a remarkable product that has come from the surfboard community. It's called Solarez - it's crystal clear and is both extremely hard and yet still a little bit flexible. It's a polyester resin.

A few things about this product:
1. I'm selling sets, I am not doing custom projects for people. You buy a set, you get what is there in the set. I can't vary shading, grain, etc.
2. This is hand crafted wood working - there will be the occasional small blemish. I will disclose with photos all outward facing blems. You can either buy the pieces the way they are, or not. Selling 100% perfect pieces would be completely cost ineffective.
3. The price includes a core cost that will be refunded (or not charged initially), when a full, useable set is in my hands. These core charges will normally be $100 - $150.
