Northwest Community Center will be closed on Friday, July 3, as we prepare for our community picnic at Fair Oaks Park beginning at 300pm that day (Bring your family. Come and join us!)

July Schedule - Food Pantry in Vickery Meadow

It was our privilege today to host owner/operators from North Texas (including Texarkana!) at Northwest Community Center in partnership with the Lifeshape Foundation. What better place to connect these restaurant leaders to the world and other cultures than Vickery Meadow! The group experienced our Refugee 101 training, shared an Afghan meal with many of our refugee and immigrant neighbors, prayed for our work, and served by creating back-to-school backpacks, including notes of encouragement for students.
