is a wildly talented interior designer creating ebullient homes filled with art, pattern and color. She commissioned a original painting for her own home that was published in print across several pages of Cottages & Gardens and Coastal Living.

She mailed a swatch library of all the elements in the room and the adjoining spaces. This determined the specific shade of blue in the background of the piece, and the complementary colors throughout. She loved Sharon’s Migration series with the ocean to echo the expansive water outside the windows in her great room. We landed on 2 adult cranes and 2 adolescent cranes to symbolize her family. Beyond that Courtney gave carte blanche for the painting, giving full reign to the artist. Courtney is the most lovely, joyful person and though we haven’t met,
