Ji Kinmedai — “Ji” meaning locally caught, a mark of regional sourcing and exceptional freshness.

This goldeneye snapper is prized for its rich, buttery texture and delicate sweetness, layered with clean umami and a subtle richness that melts on the palate.

Finished with a touch of orange zest for a bright citrus lift that enhances its natural flavor.

Join us on June 10th for an exclusive one-night collaboration between Sushi Kozy and IWA—the Toyama sake project created by the former Dom Pérignon winemaker.

This intimate evening features a curated omakase menu paired with a guided exploration of IWA’s celebrated annual Assemblages (a wine-minded, “vintage-like” approach to sake), including a rare opportunity to taste IWA Reserves.

Guests will experience the depth, precision, and artistry behind one of Japan’s most distinguished modern sake houses—thoughtfully paired with Sushi Kozy’s seasonal offerings.

$370 per guest — For this special event, all guests are required to participate in the full sake pairing experience.

Limited seats available. Tickets are now on sale through OpenTable.

Beginning June 1st, our omakase experience at Sushi Kozy will be $195.

This was not a decision we made lightly, but one that reflects our commitment to holding ourselves to the highest standard of what we can offer.

We are continually refining the experience—introducing more premium ingredients, enhancing the quality of each course, and elevating the level of service and hospitality throughout. Our goal has always been to create something thoughtful, precise, and memorable, and this adjustment allows us to continue pushing that experience even further.

We understand that changes like this are never easy, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding. It is a privilege to serve you, creating memories together, and we’re always grateful for your continued trust and support.

An indulgent expression from our Otsumami course.

Wagyu tartare elevated with housemade sake ricotta and delicately smoked unagi, all resting inside a crisp seasoned with kampot pepper. A harmony of richness, smoke, and refined texture in every bite.

Kanpachi Macaron

Delicate mushroom macaron layered with umeboshi kosho, topped with Amberjack tartare dressed in shiso and lemon oil, finished with a translucent mushroom gelée, a light, airy expression of layered umami and texture.

We are incredibly honored to be named one of Texas Monthly’s Best New Restaurants for 2026! 🏆

From our opening in June 2025 to this amazing recognition, it has been an unforgettable journey.

Our name, ”Kozy,“ reflects our core philosophy: a pursuit of excellence (Ko - meaning ”elevated“) while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere (Cozy).

As the article beautifully put it, we believe you can be ”earnest about your craft without being solemn about it.“
This balance between refined skill and a relaxed environment is the heart of what we do.

A huge thank you to our wonderful guests who made this possible, as well as our hardworking team. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without your incredible support!
