April is ๐ National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a vital time to spotlight the urgent issue of child abuse and neglect. This observance serves as a call to protect the innocent and confront the growing trend of abuse cases across our nation.
Soon, weโll reveal critical statistics for Texas, not just numbers, but echoes of the many childrenโs harrowing experiences, urging us to act and protect.
The impact of abuse is devastating, affecting victimsโ emotional, psychological, and physical well-being. Todayโs challenges, including the pandemicโs effects, highlight the need for immediate, comprehensive strategies to combat child abuse and neglect.
Thereโs hope in our collective action. Prevention is possible through our concerted efforts to create safe, supportive environments where children are cherished, free from fear and harm.
Wearing blue this April symbolizes our united stand against child abuse, a commitment to safeguard every childโs right and well-being. We invite you to join this cause, to shine as a beacon of hope and change, ensuring every child grows up in love, safety, and respect.

Here are some words of encouragement for our little ones who are anxious about going to school, from preschool to 2nd grade ๐.
Remember, itโs OK to have mixed feelings about going to school. Let your little ones know that their emotions are valid, and that itโs natural to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness.
Encourage them to talk about their feelings, and assured him that youโll always be there to support them. With time and patience, most children adjust to the school routine and come to love their school ๐๏ธexperience.

Remember, itโs the love โค๏ธ and support you provide that will make the biggest difference in your childโs readiness and enthusiasm for the new school year. Every child is unique, and your understanding and encouragement will help them thrive, academically and emotionally.
Donโt forget to breathe ๐งโโ๏ธ and take one step at a time and never forget that even small gestures can have a significant impact! Youโre doing an excellent job as a parent, and your child is lucky to have you by their side! YOU GOT THIS!

๐โจ We had the absolute delight of returning to Heart House for another magical reading session with the third to fifth graders! ๐๐ซ
This time, we journeyed with Dr. Seussโs classic, Oh, the Places Youโll Go! and had a blast ๐ with The Little Troublemaker Makes a Mess! Watching the kidsโ faces light up with each turn of the page was pure joy! ๐โจ
Reading is such a fun adventure because it lets us explore new worlds, spark imaginations, and share laughter together. A huge thank you ๐๐ฝ to Heart House ๐ for giving us this wonderful opportunity to connect with these amazing children! ๐๐
