Pool Maintenance Technician – PAID TRAINING

Responsibilities:

Manage a swimming pool route that includes chemically testing and treating of swimming pools each week
Provide excellent on-site pool chemical services to each and every customer
Adhere to proven pool chemical testing methods
Handle pool chemicals in a controlled and safe manner
Adhere to provided chemical charts and established protocols
Manage chemical inventory on the truck
Utilize a smart phone to access our PC Pro mobile platform
Identify and communicate equipment repair needs to the office

Requirements:

At least 18 years old
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a criminal background check (No felonies)
Ability to lift 100 lbs. multiple times
Preferred Bilingual – Must be fluent (English/ Spanish)

Key office position

This employee will be a key office employee handling customer service, managing the calendars of multiple employees, assisting in managing office procedures, and maintaining office records. This position requires basic computer skills. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable working with the public on the telephone, be able to multitask, troubleshoot, and work independently. A knowledge of swimming pools is helpful but not necessary. Good, understandable English is essential, fluency in Spanish is a plus.

This position is paid on an hourly basis and is a part-time job with the potential for full-time. Pool Chlor will provide training for this position.

Pool Chlor is a 35 year old company that provides a variety of pool services for residential swimming pools. The business office is in Garland, Texas.

On Memorial Day, May 28, pools will be serviced as usual. The business office will be closed.

Pool Chlor will be closed Dec 23-Jan.1, 2018. No pools will be serviced the week of Dec. 25. Pools normally serviced on Monday, Jan 1. will be serviced later that week. Pool Chlor will be closed Thu. Nov 23 for Thanksgiving and after 12 noon on Fri Nov 24. All pools will have been serviced this week. If you think you missed service, please contact our office on Friday morning so we can come back and treat your pool.

Pools usually serviced on Tuesday will be serviced as usual on July 4th. The business office will be closed.

Some of the factors pool professionals check in monitoring your water are pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, total dissolved solids, chlorine residual, conditioner levels, temperatures, surface composition, and bather load. That's why they're professionals.

Adding chemicals to the water does 2 things: sanitizes the water and balances the water. Sanitation removes harmful organisms from the water. Balancing the water protects the pool surface and equipment.

It is time to increase your filtration to 10 to 12 hours daily. Once it stays hot, 12 hours daily is the target number.
