Texas Urban Council (TUC) districts, which include some of the largest urban school systems in Texas, continue to make meaningful gains on STAAR assessments.

This year, TUC districts saw growth in Reading and Math performance across grades 3–8 while also accelerating progress on End-of-Course (EOC) exams across all five tested subjects. Particularly encouraging were gains in Algebra I and Biology, key indicators of college and career readiness.

These outcomes reflect the dedication of educators, students, and school leaders across TUC districts who are working together to expand opportunities and improve outcomes for all learners.
