Derrick works on disputes that don’t fit neatly into one category – business, governance, and industry-specific issues that often overlap in complex ways.

His experience includes insurance recovery and corporate governance matters, as well as disputes involving construction, agribusiness, and regulated industries. Derrick also handles securities-related discovery and settlement issues.

Before entering private practice, Derrick served as a captain in the U.S. Army, leading logistics operations in demanding environments where precision and accountability were critical – experience that informs his disciplined, steady approach to client service.

A graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, Derrick brings a focused, solutions-oriented perspective to his work and to the clients he serves.
