Wednesday Words of Wisdom with Coach Dan:
I e gone from 230lbs fat, down to 145lbs skinny, then back up to 226lbs of muscle since I started my 9 year journey thus far and one of the most common mistakes I see people make when trying to change their health and physique’s is wanting too much too fast which results in them giving up early. They start a meal and training plan and then 4,6,8 weeks later are upset that they don’t look like a magazine cover or they don’t see the type of results they expected so then they either switch to a new type of diet or training or they give up entirely. THIS IS WHY MOST PEOPLE FAIL. I know we all see some people go from beer belly to shredded 6 pack in 12 weeks but the reality is VERY FEW peoples bodies can actually do that and most that you see doing that have a history of training and dieting in their past so a lot of it is muscle memory which happens WAY faster than someone starting with no previous experience. Also, to the less than probably 5% of humans that can achieve those results that fast they are also putting in more work than 95% of us ever would. So please remember when getting ready to make a transformation that the odds are it’s going to take some time. This is why loving and trusting the process is so important. This is why there are no quick fixes, only lifestyle and mindset changes. We are all vastly different. Different metabolisms, genetics, medical history, jobs, time constraints. Every single aspect of each of us is vastly different. This is why if John notices Bill’s results and asked Bill for his nutrition protocol John still doesn’t get the same results. We all require our own, specific protocols in order to get the most out of every rep and every meal. There’s no secret supplement, or food, or drug. There’s a lifestyle change that requires daily commitment, sweat pouring workouts, meals, and a lot of time.
