Volunteer Spotlight
Meet Olivia, one of our incredible volunteer advocates!
For the past year and a half, Olivia has been serving survivors as a DARCC Hospital Advocate after completing her training in March 2025. By day, she works as a Development Associate at UT Dallas' business school, supporting fundraising efforts that help create opportunities for students and programs.
When she's not working or volunteering, you'll likely find her with a good romance or fantasy novel—or baking her favorite pecan chocolate chip cookies!
Olivia's favorite part of volunteering at DARCC is the community. From nurses and social workers to fellow advocates and staff, she's inspired by the compassionate people who come together to walk alongside survivors during some of their most difficult moments.
Her advice for future volunteers? Don't be afraid to lean on your fellow advocates and the DARCC team. You're never alone, and there's always someone ready to support you just as you support survivors.
