At last night’s Richardson City Council meeting, representatives from Catalyst Urban Development were recognized for receiving the 2026 Innovation Award from the Urban Land Institute Dallas-Fort Worth for the Belt & Main project in Richardson’s CORE District.

Catalyst recently partnered with the City of Richardson on the Belt & Main development, which was selected from a field of 26 finalists. The award honors projects that demonstrate excellence in development, design, construction and community impact.

The Urban Land Institute is a global research and education organization and a leading authority on responsible land use and real estate development.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Overnight US 75 closures are planned this weekend in Richardson as crews install the southern arch of the DART Silver Line Bridge over US 75.

Closures begin tonight, Friday, June 5, at 9 p.m. and are expected to continue overnight each night through early Monday morning, June 8, weather permitting. The work will affect US 75 main lanes, frontage roads, Renner Road, and some ramps near Bush Turnpike.

DART Silver Line service between Shiloh Road Station in Plano and UTD Station will also be suspended each night beginning at 9 p.m. Shuttle buses will serve Shiloh Road Station, 12th Street Station, CityLine/Bush Station, and UTD Station. Travelers connecting to DFW Airport should allow extra time.

Friday, June 5, 9 p.m.-6 a.m.

* Full closure of northbound and southbound US 75 main lanes
* Full closure of eastbound and westbound Bush Turnpike ramps to southbound US 75
* Partial closure of the southbound frontage road
* Silver Line rail service closes at 9 p.m. and resumes at 6 a.m.

Saturday, June 6, 9 p.m.-8 a.m.

* Full closure of northbound US 75 main lanes
* Full closure of the northbound US 75 to Bush Turnpike ramp
* Partial closure of the northbound frontage road
* Silver Line rail service closes at 9 p.m. and resumes at 8 a.m.

Sunday, June 7, 8 p.m.-5 a.m.

* Full closure of northbound and southbound service roads
* Closure of southbound US 75 exit #27 to Renner Road
* Temporary rolling closure of Renner Road at US 75
* Silver Line rail service closes at 9 p.m. and resumes at 5 a.m.

The Spring Creek Trail between Renner Road and Alma Road will be closed during the installation. Bush Central Barkway will be closed whenever the southbound frontage road is shut down.

This work marks a major milestone in construction of the Silver Line Bridge over US 75. Early this morning, crews transported the bridge’s future southern arch beneath the highway from its staging area, preparing for installation of the massive structure.
