Memorial Day always hits different for me. It’s not just a holiday or a day off. It’s a day when I feel the presence of the men my dad lost by his side in Vietnam, the ones he would never talk about, but never stopped remembering.

Memorial Day reminds me that the weight he carried didn’t end with him. It shaped me. It taught me that honoring the fallen isn’t just about flags or ceremonies — it’s about recognizing the quiet battles that came home, the ones that shaped our families in ways most people never see.

Memorial Day will always remind me that our future is built by honoring their sacrifice and choosing to aspire to live with courage, just as they did sacrificing for each of us. May God and our community always remember those who have fallen for America. 🇺🇸
