First off, what is mortgage fraud?

It's when someone buys an investment house but calls it their primary residence to get the house for lower rates and closing costs.

When you get to the closing table, you sign a document at closing, stating that all information is true and correct. If they're not, you can get fined $10k and go to jail for 99 years.

Don't do it, it's not worth it. Your friend group when you're in jail is not going to be good!
