Two years. One incredible partnership. Countless lives impacted. 💜
We're proud to celebrate two years of partnering with through Tacos With a Purpose. Together, we've raised more than $416,000 to help survivors of family violence access the safety, support, and resources they need to rebuild their lives.
To our friends at Taco Bueno, and to every guest who has chosen to support this initiative, thank you. Your generosity is creating lasting change for survivors and their families across our community.
Here's to continuing to make every taco count. 🌮

A full pantry means one less thing for a family in crisis to worry about.
Right now, one of The Family Place’s pantries is running low on shelf-stable essentials. Your donation helps ensure survivors and their children have access to nourishing meals as they begin their journey toward safety and healing.
We are currently in need of:
• Canned goods (soup, veggies, and fruit)
• Tuna
• Noodles and rice
• Beans and lentils
• Dry cereal
• Peanut butter
• Pasta sauce
• Cooking oil
• Mac and cheese
• Instant mashed potatoes
Every donation, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.

Domestic violence can take many forms, and it’s not always visible. A partner who refuses to contribute to household chores or parenting expenses is practicing financial abuse. A partner who prevents or discourages you from spending time with family, friends, or peers is displaying controlling behavior. Even a partner who showers you with intense, “too good to be true” affection early on is breaking healthy boundaries to create artificial trust and dependency.
Understanding the behaviors defining abuse and what healthy relationships look like is key to ending harm and reducing stigma in our communities.

Sometimes, signs of abuse aren’t obvious.
Controlling behaviors are sometimes normalized, minimized, or interpreted as love and protection. Recognizing indicators of abuse is an important step toward safety and support for those who may be experiencing abuse.
Save this as a reminder, and share it to help raise awareness. 💜
