⚠️ Is This “Standard Practice” on an Outdoor AC Unit?
Sometimes after a condenser fan motor replacement, you may see extra motor wires or connectors left exposed on top of the outdoor unit.
Is it common?
Yes, sometimes.
Is it best practice?
No.
Outdoor AC units deal with heat, sun, rain, vibration, and moving fan blades. Exposed or poorly secured wiring can create problems over time:
🔌 UV damage to wire insulation or connectors
🌧️ Moisture exposure
⚡ Possible electrical hazards
🌪️ Wires getting loose from vibration
🌀 Risk of wires contacting the condenser fan blade
👎 Sloppy appearance and poor workmanship
At Airmatics, we believe repairs should not only make the system run — they should be done cleanly, safely, and professionally.
✅ Wires secured away from moving parts
✅ Connections protected when needed
✅ Proper fan motor rotation verified
✅ System tested after repair
✅ Work completed with attention to detail
Common does not always mean correct. Quality workmanship matters.
