Dallas is finally getting its first H-E-B, and we now know when it's expected to happen.

According to NBC DFW, H-E-B has filed a construction permit for its first store within Dallas city limits at Interstate 635 and Hillcrest Road in North Dallas. Construction is expected to begin in March 2027, with the store projected to open in September 2028. H-E-B says the project could bring 800 jobs and generate an estimated $24 million in tax revenue for Dallas over the next five years.

As a Dallas Realtor, I think this is another sign of continued investment and growth in North Dallas, although it's understandable why some neighbors remain concerned about traffic and congestion in an already busy area.

What do you think: Is bringing H-E-B to Dallas worth the trade-offs, or do the neighborhood concerns outweigh the benefits? Let me know in the comments and share this with someone who's been waiting for an H-E-B in Dallas.

Big news for Dallas soccer fans and anyone excited about FIFA World Cup 2026.

Klyde Warren Park in Downtown Dallas will host FREE World Cup watch parties from June 11 through July 19, 2026, showing dozens of FIFA World Cup matches on a giant outdoor LED screen. According to CultureMap Dallas, fans can watch matches in English and Spanish while enjoying food trucks, live music, family activities, public art, and a festival atmosphere in the heart of Dallas.

My take: This is a great opportunity for Dallas residents and visitors to experience the energy of the FIFA World Cup without needing match tickets. With North Texas hosting nine World Cup matches at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, this gives more people a chance to be part of one of the world's biggest sporting events.
