🐝 What does responsible development look like in practice?

During construction of our data center in Amsterdam, Netherlands, we preserved an existing beehive by creating a larger, dedicated habitat so the colony could continue thriving.

Today, the hive remains active, cared for by a local family-run beekeeping business. The honey it produces is shared with visitors, customers, and partners — a meaningful connection between the site and its surroundings.

It’s a small part of the campus, but it reflects a larger principle: responsible development starts early, with the choices we make about the environments where we build.

As digital infrastructure continues to grow, so does the importance of building thoughtfully — supporting critical infrastructure while respecting the communities and environments around it.

We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Andreas Paduch to Managing Director, Europe.

In his new role, Andreas will drive Europe’s regional growth strategy, delivering our hyperscale data center business across key markets, and overseeing performance across the European leadership team.

His deep European market knowledge, and ability to translate customer requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions positions him well to lead our company’s next phase of growth across the region.

🌟 Opening our doors for a closer look at the role data centers play.

CyrusOne recently welcomed a group from the Future of London's Leaders Plus program to one of our data centers in Slough, one of the UK's leading data center hubs.

Leaders Plus brings together senior leaders from local government, planning, housing, and regeneration who are helping shape the future of cities and communities across the UK.

Led by Emma Fryer, Director of Public Policy Europe, the visit sparked valuable conversations about how data centers support everyday digital life, why Slough plays such an important role in the UK data center landscape, and how open dialogue helps build stronger relationships with local communities.

For many attendees, it was their first time inside a live data center. As Daniel Ray, Chief Planning Officer, shared:

“We’re all well-informed, intelligent people on this course, but as a cohort the group just did not know anything about data centres and why they’re so important.”

That’s exactly why these conversations matter.

As a Global Service Desk Technician I, Tiffany Johnson is often the first point of contact when employees and customers need support. From troubleshooting technical issues to delivering timely solutions, she plays a key role in keeping teams connected and productive across CyrusOne.

With a background in security, Tiffany brings a thoughtful, well-rounded perspective and a strong understanding of how teams collaborate across the business.

What she enjoys most about her work is simple: the opportunity to help others.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and hiking with her new puppy, Titan. When the Arizona summer heat arrives, you'll find her relaxing with a video game and planning her next adventure.
