🚨On this World AIDS Day…🚨

I want to call our to attention the fact that although millions of people around the world are infected or in some way affected by this disease, too many are unaware of or unconcerned about the suffering it causes.

Many religious people see it as judgement for “sin.” Some see it as a “gay” disease that does not affect them. The U.S. government, in its slashing of funding for U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has said ostensibly that people in developing countries who suffer with this disease are not worthy of our compassion and care.

On this day, as a leader motivated by the message, ministry and methods of Jesus, I want to admonish each of us to get educated and involved.

Regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status or the country we live in HIV/AIDS affects us ALL. Knowing this, we can ALL position ourselves to be instruments of compassion and healing.

I pray that you make that commitment today. 🙏
