The Risepoint PR & Communications team gathered in Chicago for a few days of strategy, service, and, most importantly, team bonding!

There were a few highlights of the team's time together! One was meeting with teammates from the Student Success Center, who shared insights that they gather from conversations with our partners' students.

Another highlight was a service activity supporting DupagePads, an organization that is on a mission to end homelessness through housing coupled with support services and employment. Our team assembled kits of toiletries, as those are in such high need in the populations they serve.

We're proud to support universities with their mission to serve students, especially working adults who wouldn't pursue higher education without the flexibility and convenience of online learning. Here, Dr. Lynne Bongiovanni Provost at the University of Mount Saint Vincent, shares how a partnership with Risepoint enables them to educate working parents.

Shena Reed graduated with her MBA from Henderson State and shared her motivation for earning her degree, “I'm always looking to better myself, which is one of the reasons I was so persistent in wanting to do this program. And not just for me, but for my family. I have five girls, and I just always want to be a good example to them.”

Today’s learners are busy, have competing demands for their attention, seek education that will help them professionally, and may be working already. As Fernando Bleichmar stated in a ASU+GSV Summit panel, regional universities must adapt to meet the needs of emerging modern learners.
