ROAR is formally requesting bids from all ROAR-affiliated tracks interested in hosting the 2027 IFMAR 1/12th Scale World Championships.

This request follows the cancellation of the 2026 IFMAR 1/10th and 1/12th Scale Electric World Championships, which were scheduled to be held in China.

Interested tracks should submit a formal proposal that includes:

• Complete track and facility details
• Current photographs of the track, pit areas, and supporting facilities
• Information regarding timing and scoring systems
• Available local hotel and accommodation options
• Transportation and airport accessibility
• Proposed event dates
• Any additional information demonstrating the facility’s ability to host an IFMAR World Championship event

All bids must be submitted no later than midnight Eastern Time on August 7, 2026.

This is an opportunity for a ROAR-affiliated facility to host the world’s top 1/12th Scale racers and represent North America on the international stage.

Please send all formal bid proposals to both [email protected] and [email protected] for review and consideration.

ROAR reminders

2027 1/8 Offroad Electric worlds.

As drivers attempt to get in 1/8 Offroad Nitro worlds this is the reminder that 1/8 Offroad Electric worlds are in the US next year and the race at A-Main this year is the qualifier for entry. If you don’t want to be wishing for a spot in the lottery next year attending this year’s race avoids that issue.

2026 1/10 Onroad electric worlds

If you’re interested in attending the rescheduled race in Thailand this year email [email protected]. Multiple emails have been sent out already.

Effective immediately (6/12/2026), ROAR is enacting a temporary 90-day moratorium on new Inspections and Approval for Touring Car bodies. During the next 3 months we will be updating
and revising the GBS-I body specifications and related diagrams in the ROAR Rule Book. We’re doing this in order to maintain reasonable control over the appearance and aerodynamic
qualities so that TC bodies don’t end up looking more like a Tesla Cybertruck. We will be coordinating our effort with EFRA and IFMAR throughout the process. Rest assured that all
previously approved TC bodies will be grandfathered and will remain on the Approved list until they reach their natural expiration dates which is 4 years from the original approval date.
