This is ✨43✨ My therapist says I need to do better at giving myself more credit, so in honor of that, here’s 5️⃣ life accomplishments I’d like to acknowledge:

1. I moved to NYC in my twenties right outta college with absolutely no money or knowledge of the city (I’d never even been!), but still managed to make it for 10+ years. Like they say, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere! 💯🌃🚕🍎

2. As an undergrad studying journalism, I made a list of all the publications I wanted to write for someday (obvs The New York Times got the top spot!) and I have written for every.single.one. No easy feat, as I’m sure my editor friends reading this can attest to.

3. I have successfully entered my academic girl era. 🤓 I went back to school and earned a Master of Arts degree in Journalism and I am this close to having a PhD.

4. Every day, I have the honor of shaping the minds of young adults as a Professor at a major university. They also teach me more about life than I could ever have imagined. 💞

5. And last, but not least, being a mom to the best, most amazing boy named Aiden. 💙 It still blows my mind that this unplanned human has helped to completely reshape my life into a mass of love and light.
