Much like our festival’s namesake, Guthrie Kennard is always lifting up others.We’re grateful for the opportunity to lift him up at the 2026 Moore Like Rodney Festival on April 25. This north Texas legend has influenced more artists than most of us have met. You can see the tendrils of his influence in the light and warmth in folks’ eyes when they talk about their pal Guthrie Kennard. His funky-cool, Virginia mud-stompin music is iconic and like nothing else around. He’ll be sharing a set with his musical pal Jack Barksdale in a song swap at 9pm at the Moore Like Rodney Festival, as a nod to Guthrie’s legendary Sunday shows at the original Fred’s Texas Cafe where Jack joined him on stage many times. 🎵 🎶 🎵🎶 😃😃😃
