⚖️ Prayer for Justice in the Karmelo Anthony Case ⚖️

Dear Precious and Heavenly Father,

Hallowed and Lovely is Your Name.

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You alone know every fact, every motive, every action, and every circumstance surrounding this unfortunate and horrific case. Nothing is hidden from Your eyes.

Your Word declares in Proverbs 21:15, "It is joy to the just to do judgment: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity." We ask that true justice be established according to truth and righteousness.

Father, Your Word says in Micah 6:8 that You require us "to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God." We pray that all involved—investigators, attorneys, witnesses, judge, jurors, and officials—would be guided by truth and not by fear, pressure, prejudice, public opinion, political influence, or personal bias.

Lord, let every fact be brought into the light. Let no deception prosper. Let no false testimony stand. Your Word says in Luke 8:17, "For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest." We ask that every hidden thing relevant to this case be revealed.

Father, according to Romans 13:1-4, You have established civil authorities to administer justice and restrain wrongdoing. We pray that the laws of the State of Texas would be applied fairly, honestly, and impartially. Let the legal process function as it was intended, without corruption or favoritism.

If wrongdoing has occurred, let accountability be established according to both truth and law. If innocence exists where accusations have been made, let innocence be revealed and protected. We ask that the verdict ultimately reflect truth rather than speculation.

We also pray for every family affected by this tragedy. Bring comfort to those who grieve, peace to troubled hearts, and wisdom to all who must make difficult decisions.

Guard this community, County, and State from hatred, anger, division, vengeance, and strife, when the gavel of justice comes down.

Your Word declares in Psalm 89:14, "Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face." May justice, mercy, truth, and righteousness prevail.

We place this matter into Your hands, trusting You as the righteous Judge of all the earth.

In Jesus' Mighty Name,,

🙏🏽Amen.🙏🏽

Who Was John the Baptist? What Was the Purpose of His Ministry?

John the Baptist is one of the most fascinating yet important figures in all of Scripture.

He served as the bridge between the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament Gospel. His life, message, and ministry were all designed by God to prepare the way for the coming of Jesus Christ.

John the Baptist: The Voice Crying in the Wilderness

Before Jesus began His earthly ministry, God raised up a man unlike any other—a prophet named John the Baptist. He was not sent to be the Messiah, but to prepare the hearts of the people for the arrival of the Messiah.

John's birth was miraculous. His parents, Zechariah and Elizabeth, were elderly and had no children. Yet God sent an angel to announce that they would have a son who would be filled with the Holy Spirit and would prepare the way for the Lord.

John's life had been ordained by God before he was even born.

The prophet Isaiah had foretold his ministry hundreds of years earlier in Isaiah 40: 1-5, and Isaiah spoke of him as a blessing to the People of God:

"Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD'S hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God."

John's purpose was clear: to call the Jews to repentance (because the Gospel had not been offered to the Gentiles yet) and prepare them to receive Jesus Christ.

Why Was John Found in the Wilderness?

Many readers wonder why John lived in the wilderness instead of among the religious leaders, cities, and centers of influence.

The wilderness (Judean desert) was not an accident—it was part of God's preparation. Throughout Scripture, the wilderness is often a place where God separates His servants from worldly distractions to speak to them, shape them, and prepare them for ministry.

God met:
Moses in the wilderness
Elijah in the wilderness
The nation of Israel in the wilderness

Likewise, John was called to a life of separation.

The wilderness represented:
Spiritual preparation
Dependence upon God
Separation from corruption
Freedom from religious traditions that had become empty and lifeless

God was preparing a messenger whose voice would not be influenced by the political systems, religious institutions, or cultural pressures of his day. John's message came directly from God himself.

Why Did John Eat Locusts and Wild Honey?

The Bible tells us in Matthew 3:4

"And John himself was clothed in camel's hair, with a leather belt around his waist; and his food was locusts and wild honey."

This lifestyle symbolized several important truths.

1. A Life of Simplicity

John was not interested in wealth, comfort, or earthly status.
His focus was entirely upon fulfilling God's calling.
He lived simply because his mission was more important than personal comfort.

2. A Life of Separation

John's clothing and diet distinguished him from the religious leaders of Jerusalem.
While many sought prestige and recognition, John embraced humility and self-denial.
His life itself became a sermon.

3. A Prophetic Calling

John's appearance resembled that of the prophet Elijah.
In fact, Jesus later identified John as the one who came in the spirit and power of Elijah, fulfilling prophecy.
His rough clothing and wilderness lifestyle signaled that God had once again raised up a prophet to speak His truth.

4. Dependence Upon God's Provision

The wilderness provided what John needed.
Locusts were considered clean food under the Law of Moses, and wild honey was readily available in the wilderness.
John trusted God to provide for him daily.
His life demonstrated that a servant of God does not live by earthly abundance but by obedience to God's calling.

John's central message was simple:

"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Before people could receive Jesus, they needed to recognize their sins and Have Godly Sorrow for them. Godly sorrow is to recognize your sins and how they have affected you and others, especially the ones closest to you, and how your sins have hurt Jesus and negatively affected the Kingdom. This realization brings true repentance, which is to turn from the way you are going and go in the opposite direction.

John's baptism was a baptism of repentance—a public declaration that people were turning away from sin and preparing their hearts for the coming Savior.

His preaching was bold. He confronted:

Sin
Hypocrisy
Religious pride
False security, like the "Once Saved Always Saved" heresy of today.

John understood that salvation begins within the heart and brings true or real repentance.

Although crowds followed him and many considered him a prophet, John never sought glory for himself. When Jesus appeared, John declared in John 1:29

"Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!"

This statement reveals the heart of John's ministry. His purpose was not to gather followers for himself, but to point people straight to Jesus.

John later said in John 3:30: "He must increase, but I must decrease."

We need more Ministers like John the Baptist today, not so much to prepare the way of Jesus, since Jesus has been revealed and presented, but to continue to lead the Church of Today back to Jesus, to continue to stand against Religious Pride and Arrogance, and to continue to stand against Hypocrites and False Preachers, Teachers, and Prophets.

In Matthew 3:7, John confronted 2 sects of Religious Leaders, who showed up to observe his method of baptism:

The Pharisees - Religious leaders who identified with the common people and controlled them with religious ideologies. They were experts in the Mosaic Law and all of its rituals and traditions, and they rejected the idea that they needed a Savior, because they had Abraham.

Sadducees - they were Prideful aristocratic members of a priestly group. They denied the possibility of a resurrection and the existence of any spiritual beings besides God.
They were leaders of the Sanhedrin, controlling the Jewish High Court.

He said to them, "Who has warned you to flee the coming wrath and judgment of God?" You need to produce fruit in your life that shows that you have received Christ in your life. He wanted them to have changed behavior that proves a change of heart.

He also mentioned to them that they should not be deceived in thinking, because they had already received the teachings in the Law of Moses, that they are secure as far as salvation was concerned.

John the Baptist told them that God was able to raise up descendants of Abraham from the surrounding rocks that they stood in the midst of.

He further told them that he was only baptizing them in water, but the one who is coming after me (Jesus), whose sandals I am not even worth to untie them from around his feet, will baptize you, who truly repent, with the Holy Spirit of God, or the Fire of Judgement, for those who remain unrepentant.

How relevant is that message today? We need more like John the Baptist, in that men and women who are called into the Ministry of the Kingdom of God will:

Separate themselves from the Word and Carnality
Consecrate themselves to Constant Prayer and the Reading and Understanding of God's Word.
Speaking what God has revealed to them through prayer and in His Word, Purely and Unadulterated.

We must commit to bombard Heaven with Prayers and Petitions to this effect, in Jesus' Mighty Name. 🙏

One of my favorite parables in the Bible is the one about the Wheat and the Tares that spoke to his disciples in Matthew 13:24-30.

Many of you already know it's about a farmer or sower who planted good seeds for a wheat crop in his field, and while he slept at night, his enemy came and planted weeds among his good seeds.

The seeds sprang up together, and when the field workers noticed weeds growing alongside the good crop, they went to inform the farmer of what they had found. They said, "Sir, didn't you sow good fresh seeds in your field? Well, there is another plant growing alongside them, and they look just like weeds!

Immediately, the farmer knew it was an enemy who had sneaked in and sowed the weeds while they were asleep (the Bible refers to them as Tares), along with his wheat crop, in his field.

The workers offered to go and begin pulling up the weeds, but the farmer said no: don't pull them up now; let them continue to grow together. Then, when it is harvest time, the harvesters will separate the wheat from the Tares, and the Tares will be gathered up and tossed into the fire to burn them up, but the wheat will be stored in the barns.

We know that when Jesus spoke to his disciples in parables, he was speaking with a hidden message that only the hungry and thirsty who would press him to understand, if they really wanted to know what he was talking about.

After Jesus had spoken 2 other parables to them that represented the Kingdom of Heaven, the crowds left. That's when his disciples pressed him to know more about what the parable of the Wheat and the Tares was all about. In Matthew 13:36-43, Jesus begins to explain, and that's where our teaching begins.

Jesus said:

1. The Field Represents the World (not merely the church building, but humanity itself.) Two spiritual seeds are growing in the earth:

The children of God
The children influenced by the wicked one

This is why the world often looks spiritually mixed and confusing. Good and evil exist side by side, and each individual will find himself on one side or the other. There is no middle ground. Jesus said in # # if you don't gather with me, you will scatter.

In this world today, you can have truth beside deception, holiness beside corruption, real believers beside religious pretenders.

The enemy specializes in imitation.

2. The Wheat Represents Genuine Believers; those truly born of God. Wheat is useful, nourishing, fruitful, and alive.

Biblically, real believers will:
bear spiritual fruit,
grow through trials,
belong to Christ,
endure until harvest.

Wheat bends when mature. That is a beautiful picture of humility.

Tares, on the other hand, stand stiff and proud. They easily snap in a strong wind.

That’ll preach a message, all by itself.

3. The Tares Represent Counterfeit Believers or Evil Influence

“Tares” were weeds that looked almost identical to wheat in the early stages of growth.

That is critical. Jesus is teaching that falsehood often resembles truth closely enough to deceive people.

The tares symbolize:
false converts,
false teachers,
hypocritical religion,
deceptive spiritual systems,
and all people aligned against God’s kingdom.

This connects strongly with Jesus’ warnings:

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing…”
— Matthew 7:15

The danger is not obvious evil, but a subtle imitation of righteousness.

Satan rarely walks into the room wearing a red suit with horns.
He prefers a choir robe and a good vocabulary.

4. “While Men Slept” — Spiritual Carelessness
This phrase is deeply important. The enemy sowed tares “while men slept.”

This points to:
spiritual negligence,
lack of discernment,
complacency,
prayerlessness,
failure to watch spiritually.

Throughout scripture, believers are repeatedly warned to stay awake spiritually. Jesus often said, “Watch,” not panic, not obsess, but to "Watch."

When people spiritually sleep:
deception spreads,
compromise enters,
truth becomes diluted,
Corruption grows unnoticed.

This applies personally, spiritually, culturally, and even nationally.

5. Why Didn’t the Master Remove the Tares Immediately?

This is one of the deepest parts of the parable. The servants wanted immediate judgment. They asked, “Shall we go and gather them up?”

But the master instructed: “No.”

Why? Because premature separation could damage the wheat. In the early stages of growth, the weeds closely resemble the wheat.

This reveals several truths about God. God is patient. Second Epistle of Peter 3:9 says: The Lord is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Some who appear lost today may yet repent tomorrow. God sees the full harvest before we do.

Human judgment is imperfect. People often misjudge others.

Sometimes, real wheat looks weak, and tares look impressive; God alone sees the roots, and He knows which one is which, but man cannot, without strong discernment.

That should humble every believer.

6. The Harvest Represents the End of the Age.
Jesus plainly says, “The harvest is the end of the world.” Eventually, separation comes. But right now, evil appears to prosper, and righteousness appears under attack. This is where truth and lies coexist. But not forever.

The parable teaches that final judgment is certain.

At harvest, wheat is gathered, and the tares (weeds) are burned.

This symbolizes eternal separation between those who belong to Christ and those who reject Him.

Jesus was extremely loving—but also extremely clear about judgment.

Modern culture likes a Jesus who hugs children and multiplies bread, but they get uncomfortable when He starts talking about eternal accountability. But Jesus talked about judgment often.

7. The Reapers Are the Angels

This reminds us that ultimate judgment belongs to God, not mobs, not political systems, not angry religious people.

Believers are called to preach truth and live faithfully—not carry out divine judgment ourselves.

This parable also brings to light something else that is prominent today, and it highlights the workers in the field who noticed the weeds or tares and brought it to the attention of the Master of the Field.

I believe they would be the podcasters today, who are sounding the alarm and alerting the Body of Christ and the World to the dangers of the false prophets and teachers that Jesus did warn us about and Paul did as well, throughout his Epistles in the New Testament. I used to call them "the Exposure Ministers or Ministers, but I have found a better, more accurate term that I heard someone say. They are the Accountability and Restoration Ministers, because that is, or should be, the whole purpose of accountability. It is to warn them, warn others, and to leave room for restoration, should the false prophets and teachers repent.

To keep from making this lesson too long, I will make the correlation in a separate lesson, and that is Part Two of this one.

God's fan is in His Hand and He shall Thoroughly Purg His Floor. Matthew 3:12

This speaks of the time when God will separate the Wheat (true followers) from the chaff (fake and religious), and He will Harvest the Wheat into His Garner (His barn or the Kingdom of Heaven) and the chaff will be separated, then gathered up to be thrown into the furnace (hell or lake of fire) and burned with unquenchable fire.

Which one are you? Will you be found in that day to be wheat or are you determined to be the chaff?

It is the sole choice of each individual to either answer the call or invitation of God to Salvation or continue to reject it, to their own damnation.

God said in Deuteronomy 30:19, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing.

Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.

I choose LIFE! What about you?

Father, we come before you with humble hearts and the realization that we of ourselves can do nothing without you.

It is literally You who works within us both to first will and then to do what pleases you.

We Repent, Lord for our stubborn self will, trying to do our own thing. We need you near us and in us 24/7/265.

Wash us clean in the Precious Blood of Your Son and help us to Walk out this thing called life, through Your Son, Jesus Christ and in His Mighty Name, Amen. 🙏🏽
