Another successful Squatter’s Writ of Possession under Texas SB 1333.

Today, deputies with the Dallas County Constable’s Office, Precinct 5, executed our fourth Squatter’s Writ of Possession of the week under the authority provided by Texas Senate Bill 1333 (SB 1333).

During the ex*****on of the writ, deputies recovered suspected narcotics, cash, a shotgun, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and other evidence from what is believed to have been a trap house.

SB 1333 provides property owners with a more direct process to regain possession of property that has been unlawfully occupied by squatters. While these writs are civil in nature, they often require deputies to be prepared for dangerous and unpredictable situations.

Every successful ex*****on not only restores property to its rightful owner but can also help remove locations that have become sources of criminal activity within our neighborhoods.

I’m proud of the professionalism and vigilance demonstrated by our deputies. We have one more Squatter’s Writ of Possession scheduled today, and we’ll approach it with the same commitment to safety, fairness, and service.
