When your Mom dies on International Women's Day, it changes the tone - from rah rah go girl, to something a little more nuanced. I'm still a cheerleader for women, for change. I am also more aware that our time is short - let us live our best life in whatever way we can.

You know when you have that jingle from a commercial stuck in your head? Make it a challenge to change the words to better suit what you really need or want... Keep the tune or pattern – the subconscious loves the play on words and now you’ll automatically (subconsciously) support yourself every time that ad pops up!

I had a conversation with a friend and this quote came into it with an 'urgency' I could not deny. I am feeling more and more strongly about untrivializing (a word? Spellcheck thinks not) what society deems trivial, that may actually be a way of attending to our internal longings or needs and can help us to uncover our strengths and mission and even more joy... I have a history of 'trivialities' that brought me joy, yet I kept many of them hidden... I don't think I want to do that any more. More joy, every day... What's your experience with the trivial, with joy or with both?
