This girl’s vision was so bad, the eye care provider went back to his office and cry after treating her.

Joseph Carbone, President of Eye Care 4 Kids ™, and a committed member of EVF's Changing Life through Lenses (CLTL) program, recently provided a free eye exam to a teenager with a severe vision impairment.

Her vision was so poor, she was considered legally blind and would not have been able to see a single letter on an eye chart. Not only was this moment life-changing for the teenager, but a moment he will never forget. “She’d never had a vision screening, never had an eye exam, and never had glasses. I went back to my office and cried,” Joseph deeply recalled. The impact of this treatment will resonate throughout every area of her life.

As the holiday season approaches, we’re making it easier for eye doctors to give back to their communities by providing up to $1,500 in Relief funds. For more information, eye doctors can visit CLTL.org/relief on ways you can get started.

Essilor Vision Foundation is celebrating a new milestone this month! Learn more below:

Essilor Vision Foundation is committed to eliminating poor vision and its lifelong consequences. This month we have reached an incredible milestone! We have provided 500,000 pairs of glasses to people in need since 2007. We could fill the Dallas Cowboy’s AT&T Stadium five times with the number of people who received a pair of glasses. This accomplishment could not have been achieved without your support! Please join us in celebrating, as we believe that everyone deserves to see the world clearly.
