WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY:
In light of North Texas’ impending winter weather advisory in effect for the next couple of days and this winter season, we wanted to let our clients know how we will be handling any prospective facility closures due to bad weather.

The Pooch Patio operates 7 days a week and we will follow the guidelines of the Dallas Independent School District regarding closures. On upcoming inclement weather days where ice, snow and low temps are expected, and DISD is on a delay or mandates a closure, our facility will also be closed for all services. Rest assured that existing boarding clients will have staff staying overnight to provide care and we will reach out to each of our boarding clients to arrange pick up/drop off if you are still able to travel.

Since the inclement weather started Friday 1/23/26, we have made the decision to close Saturday and Sunday. We will decide Sunday Evening if we will be closed Monday due to weather and or poor road conditions. We will send out email notifications (you must allow notifications as the client) and will post them on our social media. We will also advise through THE POOCH PATIO APP (available for Apple and Android) in a push notification sent to your mobile device.

Please be advised that if you have grooming appointments scheduled on any days the facility ends up closing, that we will do our very best to get you rescheduled as soon as possible. Also, please be advised that if we are open but there is snow or ice accumulation and you have pet taxi services booked, then we will be contacting you about prospective service delays and or necessary cancellations on that day. Social play will be modified to shorter play time or potty breaks and cuddle sessions.
